I had been to Delhi & Jammu and Kashmir trip with Family for a week early this month. This was a memorable trip for me in many ways with my first ever flight journey(I had dream of going in a flight since many years which came true),visiting to our Capital city Delhi and Special State which is at the tip of Northern India i.e.Jammu and Kashmir.....we had been to Vaishnodevi Temple which is as famous as Tirupati in south india,Patnitop,Mansar lake,Tavi River in Jammu and Kashmir..In Delhi we were able to visit Akshardham Temple,Birla Mandir,Lotus Mahal,Redfort,India Gate,RajGhat,Qutb Minar....and Mathura(Bhagwan Krishna's Birthplace) & Tajmahal (Agra) which we saw from a long distanace as it was a weekly off for visitors on Friday.
I found Delhi's Weather very hot and the cost of food costly compared to Bangalore, but roads are good. One major observation was Jammu & kashmir trip is peaceful without any antisocial activities which is being highlighted in media.Weather was pleasant...
Trip would have been incomplete without the help of my younger sister and family who is in J and K and my collegemate and close friend Chidamabara who is working in Gurgaon. My Son who is just more than a year old co-operated a lot. I was lucky to meet few people from our own Karnataka state speaking in Kannada in such a far place thousands of kilometers away.

GANDHI the father of the Nation
My all time Favourite role model is undoubtedly Gandhiji.. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, India. He became one of the most respected spiritual and political leaders of the
1900's. GandhiJi helped free the Indian people from British rule through nonviolent resistance, and is honored by Indians as the father of the Indian Nation.
He is popularly known as Father of the Nation in india.
He has written a his autobiography " My Expermiments with truth" , which is very popular,in which he has written about his life in detail, both the positive and negative side of his life without any hesitation, which can be rarely seen & heard in this world.
Although he was nominated couple of times for prestigeous Nobel Prize, its sad that he did not get that....Recently the Noble prize committe regretted that they did not give Nobel prize to Gandhi.
Once Famous scientist Einstein said that It will be difficult to believe one day in future that this great Person ever walked on earth.
Here are couple of his Photographs from childhood till his last breath in 1948.
(Photo with Child Indira Gandhi, Nobel Prize Winner Ravindra nath Tagore, Jawaharlal Nehru, with wife Kasturba.......)
